Faculty Seed Grant
Goal
The goal of the Faculty Seed Grant program is to help stimulate innovative water-related research among faculty and students across the Montana University System. Grants are available to support research on (but not limited to) effects of climate change, water management for agriculture, relationships between water quality and quantity, socio-ecological systems, water policy, and ecological restoration.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a Faculty Seed Grant, applicants must have academic or research faculty appointments at one of the Montana Institutions of Higher Education. Early-career faculty members are particularly encouraged to apply.
2024 Information
In 2024, the Water Center will be offering one-year grants with total funding of $25,000 available for each project. Pre-proposals are due February 14th and the tentative funding period is Sept 2024 - Aug 2025. The RFP is available HERE, or email water@montana.edu for more information.
